Program Overview The MS in Drug Development and Product Management has three aims: 1) Give experienced professionals insight into the process of successful drug product development and deployment; 2) Endow students with requisite knowledge and skills to collaborate effectively in the ongoing management of drug products; and 3) Provide a solid, practical bridge to employment opportunities in pharma, biotech, and managed care industries, or related government agencies such as the FDA or the EMA.

This degree is an entirely self-supporting program, because it does not receive any state funding, and there are currently no discounts available to UC employees. Students pay a per-unit course fee set by the program. The program does offer a merit scholarship for U.S. citizens & permanent residents only, with the same deadline as the application deadline. Basic Requirement

(international applicants only)

A test of English language proficiency is required for international applicants whose native language is not English and who have not studied full-time for one uninterrupted academic year at a university-level institution in which English is the language of instruction and in a country where English is a dominant language.

The following test(s) are accepted by this department:

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

The program requires a minimum TOEFL score of 85, or a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 to apply.
Letters of Recommendation

Minimum of 3 recommendations required.

Letters of recommendation should be submitted from your supervisor, and work colleagues who are familiar with your skills, and your ability to be successful in the program.

Statement of Purpose

Required

Applicants are asked to submit a statement outlining your intended career focus during the program, and a description of any current or potential employer relationships you already have to aid in arranging your practice internship. Please explain your plan for leveraging your degree to achieve your career pursuits. 500 word limit.
